Just saw on CNN that the Kansas Menu Foods plant is to be closed temporarily. ABC News is also reporting the story.
Menu Foods has scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. ET today. Meanwhile, Menu stock has rebounded on news that a toxin has been found.
A press release from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The New York State Food Laboratory worked with Cornell’s Animal Health Diagnostic Center to find the toxin.
Also, at 2:00 p.m. ET coming up soon on CNN, veterinarian Dr. Jeff Werber will be taking questions from viewers about the food recall. Questions can be e-mailed here.

4PM on a Friday they are holding their press conference? So late in the day on a Friday. They should just hold their conference at 10PM so nobody will see it. Sheesh.

I saw part of the Menu Foods briefing on CNN Pipeline, but wasn’t able to watch all of it. Its seems like there were about 10 reporters in the room. Unfortunately, I missed most of the event. I am hoping that someone has a transcript or recap of what they said.
